1. Attend a YLHS Home Football Game and purchase a portable, re-usable YLHS MUSTANG Spirit Banner for $10--be ready for any YLHS Mustang game or event by carrying a MUSTANG Spirit Banner in your purse, pocket or glove box!
2. Buy a 50/50 movie ticket at any YLHS home football game to support both YLHS Cheer and Song squads and YLHS Band Boosters! The winnings at the last game were two $100 and one $500 prize!
3. Purchase movie tickets to Cinema City in Yorba Linda for $6 to see any movie, any time (including new releases and 3-D movies)--I like to keep them on hand for times when my kids complain that there is "nothing to do..."
4. Attend the YLHS Cheer, Song and Football Booster Carwash on October 29th at YLHS. You can buy pre-sale tickets from any cheerleader, songleader or football player; you may also purchase tickets on the day of the event.
5. While at the YLHS Cheer, Song and Football Booster Carwash, test drive a Ford car and the YLHS Cheer and Song squads will recieve $20 for each driver who identifies YLHS Cheer and Song as the program they wish to benefit (only one test driver per family)!
6. Stay tuned for up-coming YLHS Cheer and Song "Dinner Out" fundraiser nights at local restaurants, as well as more YLHS Cheer and Song car washes.
7. Encourage local business to make tax-deductible donations for the USA Cheer and Song Competition hosted by YLHS Cheer and Song or by sponsoring an individual cheer or songleader.
Why Support YLHS Cheer and Song Squads?
Cheerleading as a sport dates back over 100 years, but it is also a staple in our pop culture. YLHS cheerleaders and songleaders encourage their athletic and co-curricular teams at a variety of events and games, as well as compete in local and national tournaments.
YLHS cheerleading and songleading involves elements of dance, gymnastics, tumbling and stunts. It requires high levels of physical fitness, stamina, dedication and hard work. Additionally, YLHS cheer and songleaders must maintain their grades, behavioral expectations, and serve as the symbols of YLHS Mustang school pride and excellence!
By supporting YLHS Cheer and Song programs you are benefitting the heart and spirit of YLHS, as well as the physical, academic, and social progress of our teens. Cheerleading and Songleading encourages positive attitudes and actions in the members of the squads and the students they support!
